Dog Walking
Includes collection & drop off, treats, water, shower & towel dry. You will also be able to see what your dog(s) are up to by following our Facebook page and Instagram for photos and updates of our walks.
On/Off lead walks as requested.
Discount available of £2.00 for additional dogs from the same household.

Dog Boarding & Dog Day Care
Are you looking for a home from home experience for your four legged family member(s) whilst you are away?
We offer a friendly, reliable & trustworthy care service for your dog(s).
This service is subject to a successful meet & greet in a neutral place between your dog(s) & our resident dog Retro. This will give them an opportunity to get to know each other a little before a boarding/dog day care agreement form is completed. A trial night will also be offered.
Your dog(s) will be treated as part of our family during their stay. They will be fed, as per your instruction. Fresh water will be available 24/7. They will be exercised and played with daily & let out to go to the toilet regularly. We will ask that you provide their food & bedding & crate if they use one to help settle them at bedtime.
If you're anything like us you will miss your dog(s) like crazy. To keep your mind at rest that your dog(s) is being well looked after in a relaxed environment you will receive photos during their stay.
Boarding up to 1 week £30 per day
Additional dog(s) from the same family boarding up to 1 week £28 per day per dog
Boarding for additional days over 1 week £25 per day
Additional dog(s) from the same family boarding over 1 week £23 per day per dog
Please note for boarding: 1 day is 1 24 hour period. Example, if you were to drop your dog off at 9am they will need to be collected at 9am on the final day of their stay or you may be subject to an additional days charge.
Dog Full Day Care (Opening Hours 8am - 4.30pm) £25 per day
Additional dog(s) from the same family in full day care £23 per day per dog

* A collection and drop off service may be available for day care however a small extra fee may be required to cover travel costs and this will be calculated using google maps.

Home Visits
This service will involve us entering your home & spending 30 minutes with your pet. We will refill their bowl with fresh water. Let them out to go to the toilet. Feed them if required. Play with them, incorporate some basic training games & settle them before we leave.
For those of you needing this service due to work commitments or other reasons meaning you won't be home, we will require a set of house keys to be able to enter your home & lock up again after. These keys will be kept in a safe place at our property.
*A small travel fee may be required depending on distance.
Home Visit 30 minutes £10 per visit
Weekend Home Visit 30 minutes £13 per visit

Retro & Friends
Retro & Friends is an award winning small business based in Yate, Bristol.
In 2015 we adopted a rescue lurcher puppy and named him Retro. We fell in love with him from the minute we met him and our love for dogs has grown from that moment on. We opened Retro & Friends in March 2016. We understand that a dog is not 'just a dog' but a family member and they deserve to be treated as one.
We are very passionate about Retro & Friends and feel proud to be able to offer our services in dog walking, home from home dog boarding, dog day care and home pet visits.
All the dogs in our care are shown love and affection, treated with respect and provided with positive experiences both indoors and out.
We cover Yate, Chipping Sodbury and surrounding areas up to an 8 mile radius for walks and welcome our house guests from near and far.
Retro & Friends is fully licenced under South Gloucestershire Council and fully insured.
Our licence number is TS/0098/ANBOR and we have been awarded 5 stars and a 3 year licence in March 2022.
We hold a certificate in Dog First Aid from a course attended in March 2021. We are DBS checked. We regularly update our knowledge and understanding in canine behaviour and body language by studying, attending workshops and seminars. We all love our jobs and pride ourselves on providing a high level of service to our clients. We are fully insured.

A bit about us...
Paula: Mum to Retro. Owner of Retro & Friends. I provide the boarding and day care side of the business which is fully licenced with 5 stars by South Gloucestershire Council, as well as helping with the walking side of the business. I've attended many training workshops and seminars including a Dog Law seminar and Canine first aid. I have completed a Diploma in Canine Anxiety and a Diploma in Canine Communication. I passed both diplomas with a distinction. I feel very passionate about the business and work hard to ensure my team are happy and the dogs are happy. I have a good sense of humour. I love learning. I love photography. I'm kind and caring and love to help.
Nick: Partner to Paula, Dad to Retro. Nick works on a voluntary basis around his main job, helping with day care and boarding. He also helps out at the weekends walking and caring for the dogs. The dogs think he is lots of fun to play with. He has a good sense of humour and a kind and caring nature. Nick holds a Canine First Aid certificate and has attended a seminar on Dog Law.
We have had some amazing reviews from our clients and look forward to receiving many more.
